Who Are we?

Perry L. Ballard MS WSO-CSE/CSM CSHM, President/Owner of Ballard Safety LLC in Martinsburg, West Virginia, has been named the WSO 2018 Safety Person of the Year, an honor he also received in 2017. In 2021, Ballard became the CEO for the World Safety Organization. 

Ballard, a longtime member of WSO’s Board of Directors, has been a WSO member since 2000.  He is the founder of Ballard Safety LLC and has over 24 years of experience working with government agencies, commercial/construction industries, and manufacturing companies.  His goal is to reduce potential occupational injuries, OSHA, EPA citations, workers compensation claims, and general liability concerns by completing appropriate safety and environmental inspections with detailed resolutions. 

Ballard holds his Master’s Degree in Safety Management from West Virginia University and his Bachelor’s Degree from Fairmont State University. He also oversees two current scholarship available to West Virginia athletes who attend Fairmont State University: The Joe Retton Scholarship and The John J. Belota Schoalrship.
